(“Akouos”) (Nasdaq: AKUS), a precision genetic medicine company dedicated to developing gene therapies with the potential to restore, improve, and preserve high-acuity physiologic hearing for people worldwide who live with disabling hearing loss, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 14,375,000 shares of common stock at a public offering price of $17.00 per share, including 1,875,000 additional shares of common stock issued upon the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional shares, for gross proceeds of $244.4 million, before underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses payable by Akouos. All shares were offered by Akouos.
BofA Securities, Cowen, and Piper Sandler acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. BTIG acted as lead manager for the offering.
